JD:

• Lead the design and development of data virtualization solutions leveraging the Denodo Platform, adhering to best practices and architectural guidelines.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and other stakeholders to understand and translate data requirements into effective data virtualization solutions.
• Develop and optimize complex VQL queries and data services (REST/SOAP) to integrate data from diverse sources such as databases, flat files, web services, and cloud platforms.
• Design and develop robust data models, including base views, derived views, and interface views, ensuring they meet business needs and data governance policies.
• Implement data security measures, access controls, and perform performance tuning to ensure the efficiency and scalability of Denodo solutions.
• Oversee and participate in the development of ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion and transformation when necessary.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to junior Denodo developers, fostering their growth and development.
• Ensure timely delivery of projects, adhering to quality standards and best practices in an agile environment.
• Document data sources, mappings, transformations, architectural designs, and implementation procedures effectively.
• Stay up-to-date with Denodo platform updates, new features, and industry best practices, continuously enhancing knowledge and skills.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure alignment of data strategies and seamless integration.

Required skills and qualifications

• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in data virtualization, data integration, or ETL development, with a strong focus on the Denodo platform.
• Extensive experience in designing, developing, and optimizing Denodo data virtualization solutions, including view modeling, VQL scripting, caching, and query delegation.
• Proficiency in SQL and strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, or Azure Data Factory is often required or preferred.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills for effective interaction with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment and managing projects according to timelines and deliverables.
• Certifications in Denodo Platform (e.g., Denodo Platform Certified Developer) are often preferred.
