Position Description:

Qualifications
- BS in Chemical Engineering (preferred), Chemistry or related technical field required.
- MBA a plus.
- 7+ years of experience in the chemical or related industry, with previous operations supervisory experience.
- Should be knowledgeable in Continuous Improvement, PSM, ISO 9001, TQM principles, Root Cause Failure analysis and overall plant troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster a positive work environment and collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address production issues and drive efficiency improvements.
Responsibilities
- Manage all production activity for a multi shift plant operation. Maintain compliance with Quality, Health, Environmental and Safety. Coordinate appropriate product, raw materials, off-site waste disposal and product inventories.
- Ensure all regulatory requirements are met. This includes, but is not limited to: participating in PHAs, investigating incidents and driving/coordinating closure of action items. Ensure timely reporting, investigating, root cause analysis, and corrective implementation of all accidents and incidents within the manufacturing department
- Provide technical expertise for chemical process aspects of safe operation of plant, manages changes to processes. Manage the development, documentation, and implementation of SOP's, JSA s, and work instructions for the plant, as well as procedures relating to regulatory, training and quality program compliance.
- Manage the safe work conditions and practices, uphold, interpret, and enforce company Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality policies and applicable federal laws. Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing processes and systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs and changeovers.
- Identify and manage cost improvement and lead the development and execution of cost improvement plans. Supports new or improved product trials and develops plant process requirements for product improvements.
- Develop production supervisors to include knowledge on processes, continuous improvements and methods of employee engagement
- Participates in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company. Participates in and completes company-required training programs.
- Ensure the achievement, maintenance and continual improvement of procedures and policies conforming to ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 and ISO50001 standards and any other certifications that affect your facility.
