Payrate: $23.00 - $24.00/hr.

Summary:
We are seeking a Contract Porter - Vehicle Operations & Fleet support person to support vehicle operations at LATC (Location). This contractor role involves helping with vehicle receiving, dispatching, transporting, washing, and setup at LATC. Also support fleet management and the IUVT/CAP2000 program, plus assist the Vehicle Operations team as needed. The role requires good organization and flexibility.

Responsibilities:
  • Vehicle Receiving, Dispatch, and Movement
  • Receive and document incoming and outgoing vehicles at LATC.
  • Transport vehicles to and from offsite locations, including assisting with ad-hoc vehicle relocations across the site (e.g., workshop areas, emission labs, parking lots).
  • Vehicle Washing and Setup
  • Coordinate and oversee vehicle washing at LATC to ensure vehicles meet cleanliness standards.
  • Assist in vehicle setup by placing required materials in new vehicles as needed.
  • Wash fleet vehicles at 3rd party vendor as requested.
  • IUVT/CAP2000 Program Support
  • Assist with the IUVT/CAP2000 program by managing the check-in and check-out of loaner and customer vehicles.
  • Maintain the IUVT loaner fleet by ensuring vehicles are serviced, cleaned, and fueled in a timely manner.
  • Fleet Management Support
  • Parking and Fleet Audits:
  • Perform regular bi-weekly inventory checks of offsite vehicles.
  • Conduct weekly audits of the fleet at LATC to maintain accuracy and compliance.
  • Fleet Management Tasks:
  • Ensure the Vehicle Operations loaner fleet is serviced, cleaned, and fueled as required.
  • Check in new vehicles, ensuring proper documentation (license plates, registration, insurance, etc.).
  • Document new vehicle arrivals in the Vehicle Management System (VMS) and update/remove outdated entries.
  • Manage keys, including spare vehicle keys and ensure proper storage. (Including drop box and any keys left with security)
  • Administer the Traka web service and manage local box and user access for LATC.
  • Vehicle onboarding - live data, traka, license plate, fuel card and vehicle packet, stickers on vehicles.
  • Oversee the scrap vehicle process with handovers to vendors, on-site visits, document checks
  • Additional Duties
  • Provide ad-hoc support to MBRDNA test teams and other departments as needed.
  • Assist the Vehicle Operations team with various tasks, including backup support for team members.
  • Manage U.S. Bank fleet fuel cards for all users across MBRDNA.
  • Provide backup support for Vehicle Operations colleagues on relevant topics.
  • Coordinate domestic vehicle transport for MBRDNA fleets.
  • Assign work ticket through Jira according to responsible counterpart
  • Ensure License plates, fuel cards, Toll transponders and other vehicle material is organized and in stock
  • Oversee coordination efforts of the office inventory

Skills:
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Comfortable operating and transporting vehicles across various site locations.
  • Familiarity with fleet management systems and tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and web-based services.
  • Certifications: Must have or be willing to obtain required certifications (Stringo, First Aid, F2).
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to transport vehicles and perform site audits in varying environmental conditions

Top 3 must-have hard skills:
  • Driver s license in good standing and clean driving record
  • Outlook, teams, Word, Power point, excel (would be helpful with data organization)
  • Ability to be proactive and act with needed (having initiative)

Years of experience:
  • Previous experience in vehicle operations, fleet management, or logistics roles is preferred.
  • If there is no experience, then at least 1 year of office exp would be helpful

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $23.00 - $24.00/hr. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience and the benefits package you select. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
