Job Title: IT Project Manager
Location: Monroe, CT (On-site for 90 days, then Hybrid: 3 days on-site / 2 remote)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Project Manager for a direct placement opportunity in the utilities industry, based in Monroe, CT. This is a general PM role focused on leading business system initiatives in collaboration with internal teams, IT groups, and third-party consultants. Candidates must have 3+ years of SAP experience (any module or implementation type). The role begins with on-site onboarding for the first 90 days, then transitions to a hybrid schedule.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define strategies, requirements, and functional specifications aligned with project goals.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to implement integrated business processes and deliverables with a focus on quality and consistency.
  • Develop, review, and negotiate Statements of Work (SOWs) and vendor contracts in alignment with scope and budget.
  • Manage multiple large-scale projects with high visibility and risk, ensuring alignment with broader account objectives.
  • Monitor project progress using metrics and controls; escalate issues and recommend scope trade-offs using cost-benefit analysis.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication plans for stakeholders and project teams.
  • Facilitate meetings, track progress, and develop action plans to meet milestones.
  • Apply best practices in budgeting, planning, change control, and risk management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of project management experience with complex, integrated initiatives.
  • 3+ years of SAP experience (any module or implementation type).
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills across teams, vendors, and leadership.
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively and maintain attention to detail.
  • Experience working with external service providers.
  • Commitment to excellent customer service.
  • Prior experience in the utilities industry is a strong plus.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
