Note: This is a HYBRID position requiring 2 in-office days at local Deloitte office per week. Travel costs are not reimbursable.
Role Overview:

As a Delivery Leader, you will drive strategy, execution, and continuous improvement for high-performing technology teams supporting banking and capital markets initiatives. You ll ensure alignment with firm objectives, optimize delivery processes, and foster a culture of accountability and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and evolve technical strategy, team structure, and delivery models to meet complex business and regulatory requirements.
Forge strong technical partnerships with Product, QA, UX, PMO, and Enterprise Architecture to align on solution design and delivery.
Proactively identify and resolve technical obstacles, optimizing resource allocation to boost team throughput, predictability, and code quality.
Lead continuous improvement of SDLC processes, focusing on automation, cycle time reduction, and usability enhancements.
Collaborate with Shared Services (Cloud, Security, Infrastructure) to eliminate technical impediments and accelerate product delivery.
Set and track technical success metrics, ensuring solutions deliver measurable value to clients.
Own and maintain product technology roadmaps, architectural standards, and backlog prioritization.
Drive modernization initiatives, including legacy system re-architecture, microservices adoption, API management (REST, SOAP), and event-driven design (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps, with automated testing and deployment aligned to financial compliance.
Champion DevOps practices, test automation, and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping) to reduce technical debt and cycle times.
Represent technical priorities to senior Digital leadership, ensuring compliance with change management, information security, and regulatory mandates.
Foster a culture of knowledge sharing, minimizing key-person dependencies and technical silos
Hold engineering teams accountable for achieving service level objectives and technical excellence
Mentor and coach engineers, provide timely feedback, and develop succession plans for critical technical roles
Build and maintain effective communications and relationships across engineering, product, and vendor teams

Required Experience:
Bachelor s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent technical experience.
5+ years in Information Systems technology, with at least 1 year in technical leadership (engineering manager, lead architect, etc.).
Deep expertise in SDLC best practices, agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), and technical delivery in banking/capital markets.
Proven track record leading multi-disciplinary agile engineering squads delivering mission-critical financial systems (trading platforms, loan origination, regulatory reporting).
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline implementation, automated testing, and secure deployment in regulated environments
Strong background in legacy system modernization, microservices architecture, API integration, and event-driven frameworks
Demonstrated success reducing technical debt and cycle times through DevOps, automation, and continuous improvement
Prior technical leadership engagements with Tier 1 banks, broker-dealers, or asset management firms, enabling rapid application onboarding and delivery acceleration
