Description

Engineer, design, model, develop and test controls and diagnostics algorithms for Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) and Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) systems and features for embedded Electronic Control Unit (ECUs) including Engine Control Module (ECM), Transmission Control Module (TCM), Hybrid and BEV Electrified Propulsion Control Modules, Powertrain Control Module (PCM), Chassis Control Module (CCM) and 20 additional module features (rings) such as energy transfer, combustion control, fuel control, thermal, drive mode, safety, high voltage electrification, emissions control, electrification driver data, electrification energy transfer, vehicle dynamics control, motion supervisory and planning control and battery electrical and chemical management control. Define requirements, and design and develop software, following Motor Industry Software Reliability Association (MISRA) CERT C standards. Select the most efficient and optimal vehicle operation to meet drivability inputs using advanced control algorithms including linear and nonlinear System Control, Feedback and Feedforward Control, Adaptive Control, Optimal Control, Robust Control, Stochastic Control, Artificial Intelligence, steady state optimization, and state estimation techniques including numerical methods and optimization techniques, in Embedded C programming language, using Eclipse IDE, MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, Vector CANalyzer, CANape, CANoe, Jira, Git, Gerrit and IBM Rational Team Concert (RTC) tools.

Additional Description

Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related. One (1) year of experience as Engineer, Lead, or related. Must also have experience with: diagnosing Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) and Data Identifiers (DID) using ETAS INCA and Vector CANalyzer tools, or related.
