Job Description Summary
The Lead Turbine Hot Gas Path Engineer will be part of the F/Annular/Aeroderivatives Hot Gas Path team and will be responsible for both new and revised definition release of Turbine Hot Gas Path hardware, ensuring quality and rigor in part definitions post design and release in PLM. This involves both new releases and revisions and cut-in coordination with component owners, Product Definition Engineering, Systems, CCB, and Supply Chain. These efforts will span NPI, Fleet, and Supply Chain initiatives. Additionally, the Lead Turbine Hot Gas Path Engineer's responsibilities will include working with the Cross Functional Engineering teams and Global Supply Chain teams; supporting and qualifying hardware for new factory introductions; performing required technical assessments of Hot Gas Path components; and creation of component history summary documents detailing part features and part evolution over time.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Drive new engineering definition release for Turbine Hot Gas Path components, working hand in hand with PDE, Manufacturing, AME, MPE, Systems, and other interfacing teams
  • Implement definition revisions through appropriate Standard Work process
  • Support technical evaluation of Turbine Hot Gas Path components in support of NPI, RCA, MYA, P2V, and AMRT efforts
  • Create technical documentation summarizing component configuration and history to be leveraged both within the immediate and interfacing teams
  • Inform other team members in the Turbine Module about new and revised definition release process, incorporating lessons learned to enable efficient definition release
  • Act as responsible Design Engineer for qualifications of hot gas path hardware, interfacing with AME, SQE, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Repair, and other interfacing teams

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering / Science from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 6 years Engineering Experience

Desired Characteristics
  • Extensive experience using PLM software to manage and release hot gas path component definition
  • Demonstrated proficiency in releasing new and revised hot gas path definition according to current GE Vernova Hot Gas Path standards
  • Familiarity with drafting standards or practices and geometric design and tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Customer satisfaction mindset with strong quality orientation
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal facilitative and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in cross functional teams and interface effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Gas turbine design, aerospace design, and/or manufacturing experience
