We care deeply about transforming lives with AMD technology to enrich our industry, our communities, and the world. Our mission is to build great products that accelerate next-generation computing experiences - the building blocks for the data center, artificial intelligence, PCs, gaming and embedded. Underpinning our mission is the AMD culture. We push the limits of innovation to solve the world's most important challenges. We strive for execution excellence while being direct, humble, collaborative, and inclusive of diverse perspectives.
AMD together we advance_
THE ROLE
Join AMD's dynamic Systems Development team, where you'll play a key role in bringing cutting-edge servers and switch solutions to life. You will be at the center of SoC, board, and system-level integration-leading validation, new product introduction (NPI) qualification with OEM partners, and driving solutions through all stages of compliance and deployment.
This is a highly collaborative environment where you'll work alongside experts across hardware, software, power, thermal, signal integrity, and manufacturing teams, as well as engage directly with external vendors. Your work will have a direct impact on product quality, time-to-market, and AMD's success in the data center space.
THE PERSON
You are a hands-on problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. You bring curiosity, persistence, and strong analytical thinking to root cause analysis and system bring-up. You're equally comfortable diving deep into schematics and collaborating with cross-discipline teams to deliver high-quality results.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead system bring-up, validation, and NPI qualification for server and switch hardware with OEM vendors.
Drive deployment and sustaining efforts for hardware solutions through all compliance stages.
Lead debug and root cause analysis of deployed systems by reviewing board layouts and schematics.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal engineering teams and external partners to ensure timely delivery and quality standards.
Gather system feature requirements, define detailed test plans, and execute hardware validation plans.
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance system quality, reliability, and performance.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Experience with board- and system-level bring-up and validation.
Familiarity with Cadence schematic and board layout tools.
Strong understanding of Linux and Python scripting for automation and testing.
Knowledge of network protocols such as RDMA, PCIe, and XGMI.
Proven ability to work with cross-functional engineering teams and external vendors.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS
Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred.
LOCATION: Santa Clara, California (Hybrid)
