NOW HIRING: MACHINE OPERATORS - TOANO, VA

Position: Machine Operator
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00/hour
Shifts: 1st and 3rd Shift

Are you mechanically inclined with a strong attention to detail? The Lee Group is hiring Machine Operators for a leading manufacturer in Toano, VA. In this role, you'll operate and monitor the plating line, manage solution levels, and ensure consistent workflow to support daily production targets. You'll work closely with the chemical lab to maintain plating bath chemistry and confirm proper part setup before processing.

Job Responsibilities of Machine Operators:

• Use touchscreen controls and workbooks to run plating equipment and apply accurate plating recipes
• Prepare and rack parts correctly to support efficient production
• Collaborate with the lab to monitor and maintain tank chemistry
• Perform basic maintenance and keep the plating area clean and compliant with safety standards
• Add chemicals safely under lab supervision as needed
• Document production activities and report any process issues immediately
• Stop operations if product quality is compromised or defects occur
• Assist with training new employees and provide input to supervisors

Job Requirements of Machine Operators:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or plating role preferred
• Strong mechanical skills and comfort with basic math and computer use
• Ability to follow instructions, read work orders, and maintain accuracy
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs and performing physical tasks
• Open to working overtime as required
