Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Mid-Senior QA Engineer with a strong background in both manual and automation testing to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will bring a quality-first mindset, deep technical understanding, and strong analytical skills to validate complex software systems. This role involves leading testing efforts, mentoring junior QA engineers, and contributing to continuous quality improvements across the SDLC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of test planning, execution, and strategy across manual and automation efforts.
  • Design, review, and execute comprehensive test cases and scenarios for complex systems.
  • Perform hands-on manual testing including UI, functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing across web and mobile applications.
  • Build and maintain robust automation test suites using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Drive API testing initiatives (manual and automated) with tools such as Postman and RestAssured.
  • Identify, analyze, and document bugs and inconsistencies in a detailed and timely manner.
  • Act as a liaison between QA, development, product, and DevOps teams to ensure test coverage and product quality.
  • Mentor junior QA team members, promote best practices, and contribute to improving testing processes and frameworks.
  • Provide QA sign-off for releases and contribute to risk analysis and go/no-go decisions.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuously collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10 years of experience in QA engineering, with a strong mix of manual and automation testing experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of QA methodologies, test processes, and defect lifecycle.
  • Proven experience in manual testing techniques and practices (boundary testing, usability testing, exploratory testing).
  • Strong hands-on experience in automation using Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or Cypress.
  • Solid experience in REST API testing (manual and automated).
  • Good command of SQL and experience with database testing.
  • Working knowledge of version control and CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with testing AI/ML features such as chatbots, recommendation engines, or predictive analytics
  • Exposure to AI/ML applications, including experience testing model behavior, fairness, and output validation.
  • Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
  • Exposure to mobile testing using tools such as Appium or BrowserStack.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
  • ISTQB or equivalent QA certifications.
  • Experience working in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, etc.).
