Role - TECHNICAL VULNERABILITY SUPPORT ANALYST
Location Chicago (Day 1 Onsite)

ROLE:
This position has the responsibility for the technical patching and remediation of vulnerabilities against all of our Asset Management Trading applications. This role will be familiar with using Service-Now and working on Vulnerability Tickets (VUL s and VITs). Will require the partner to liaise with multiple application teams as well as the various infrastructure teams.
The ideal candidates will be self-starters with excellent communication skills and a solid understanding of technology in a financial institution, including trade applications.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain a professional relationship with all stakeholders within IT App Support and Infrastructure teams and provide support.
- Coordinate with various application teams as needed including India support staff.
- Candidate will also be responsible for some Audit & Risk responsibilities as it pertains to the security of Northern Trust s applications.
- Candidate will work and manage Service-Now Vulnerability VUL tickets for the applications we support.
- Develop understanding of NT s systems and products utilizing reference materials and support procedures.
- Present IT in a professional manner, exhibit customer service values in line with NT s A Approach.
- Adherence to corporate standards at all times.
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
- 7+ years of experience in a technical role within a financial institution or similar preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with a solid technical background are essential as is the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment. The ideal candidate can explain technical issues in layman s terms and translate needs to technology teams.
- Previous experience with remediation of vulnerabilities for both Unix and Windows servers; familiar with working within an infrastructure server environment.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow ticketing management system.
- Experience in gaining access to servers to remediate vulnerabilities.
- Works closely with other technology teams such as Development, Infrastructure and Vended software support teams.
- Strong knowledge of Server Application environments (ie. Operating Systems)
- Working experience on Administrating Servers, Managed Servers, Virtual Machines, node managers.
- Experience with various Server patching activities (OS, Components).
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux Commands and scripting, FTP/SFTP
- Knowledge of WebLogic, Java, .NET, JDBC, JMS installations
- Required knowledge of PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry)
- Required Knowledge of Spring boot Micro Cloud Services
