Description

Robert Half Technology is partnering with a leading organization seeking a Cybersecurity Administrator to take ownership of securing enterprise systems and protecting critical infrastructure. This is a hands-on opportunity to design, implement, and manage security programs that safeguard digital and operational technology assets. The ideal candidate is both technically skilled and strategic, able to build security maturity while educating others on best practices.

Responsibilities
  • Administer and manage security tools and technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
  • Monitor and analyze security logs and alerts to detect and respond to incidents.
  • Implement and manage identity and access management (IAM) for Office 365 and Azure environments.
  • Configure and enforce conditional access policies and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
  • Conduct vulnerability scans and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security weaknesses.
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to improve the organization's security posture.
  • Lead incident response activities and coordinate remediation efforts.
  • Develop and maintain cybersecurity documentation, including policies, incident reports, and compliance materials.
  • Provide ongoing security awareness training to staff across departments.
  • Recommend and assist in implementing SIEM and EDR solutions to strengthen detection and response capabilities.


Requirements

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT systems administration.
  • Strong understanding of firewalls (Meraki or equivalent), VPNs, and O365 security configurations.
  • Experience with Azure security, MFA, and conditional access policies.
  • Hands-on vulnerability assessment and penetration testing experience.
  • Familiarity with SCADA or Operational Technology (OT) environments preferred.
  • Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or CEH are highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills.

Work Environment & Compensation
  • Location: Onsite in El Monte, CA with occasional travel to Fontana.
  • Schedule: 9/80 (every other Friday off); company may transition to a 4/10 schedule.
  • Salary: $120,000 - $160,000 (flexible up to $180,000 DOE).
