RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a PKI Engineer in Nashville, TN.
Overview:
We are seeking a PKI Engineer with deep expertise in Venafi and enterprise PKI environments to assess, optimize, and manage the company's public key infrastructure. The role includes hands-on implementation, integration, and training responsibilities, with potential for contract-to-hire.
Key Responsibilities:
* PKI Engineer will assess current PKI and Venafi implementation, identify gaps, and recommend improvements
* Design, deploy, and manage PKI solutions, including integration with Microsoft Active Directory (on-prem and cloud/Entre Identity)
* Oversee certificate lifecycle management, including automation, monitoring, and reporting
* Collaborate with Windows and Linux teams to ensure proper certificate deployment and compliance
* As a PKI Engineer, you will implement best practices for security, governance, and regulatory requirements
* Train and mentor internal engineers on PKI and Venafi operations
* Work with InfoSec and other stakeholders to align PKI with organizational needs
REQUIREMENTS:
* Proven experience with Venafi in a production environment
* Experience with both Windows and Linux server environments
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft PKI, Active Directory, and Entre Identity
* Understanding of TLS/SSL certificates, certificate authorities (e.g., DigiCert), and certificate lifecycle management
* Familiarity with security principles and regulatory compliance
* Ability to work independently, lead technical assessments, and drive projects to completion
Preferred/Bonus Skills:
* Experience with AWS Certificate Manager
* Prior consulting or senior engineering experience
* Strong communication and training skills
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
