Job Title: Automation Engineer - PLC Controls (Traveling)

Company: BEPC Inc.

Employment Type: W2 Contract (6 months, with potential extensions)

Compensation:. $45 $49 per hour

Work Schedule: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (Flexibility required based on travel/client needs)

Location: 90% Travel Nationwide | 10% Onsite in Mason, OH

Position Overview:

BEPC Inc. is actively seeking an experienced PLC Controls Automation Engineer to lead and implement multiple automation and control projects for warehouse and material handling systems. This role requires extensive travel (up to 90%) to client sites across the U.S., with occasional office-based work in Mason, OH.

The successful candidate will be responsible for full-cycle project leadership from planning and programming through on-site testing and implementation. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience with PLC programming, electrical design, and motion control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage electrical and control system projects, including scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Design, develop, modify, and implement software and control systems (PLC, HMI, VFD, motion control).
  • Install and support software applications and operating systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and external stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain project documentation, reports, and progress updates.
  • Execute test plans including internal testing, FAT, UAT, and BUAT.
  • Coordinate project resources and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Participate in weekly project meetings and client updates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in Controls Engineering
