Description
We are looking for an experienced Sr. Cybersecurity Manager to lead and enhance our enterprise-wide information security program. As part of the leadership team, you will work closely with the Director of Information Security to safeguard the organization's systems and data against evolving threats while ensuring compliance and regulatory adherence. This is a long-term contract position based in Irvine, California, offering a dynamic opportunity to contribute both strategically and hands-on in a rapidly advancing industry.
Responsibilities:
Develop and oversee the organization's enterprise-wide information security program to mitigate risks and align with business objectives.
Lead initiatives for Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), Privacy and Data Protection, Incident Response, and Cyber Resilience.
Identify, analyze, and communicate information security risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and requirements.
Manage and mentor a small team of cybersecurity professionals, providing strategic direction and practical guidance.
Design and implement cybersecurity policies, standards, and strategies to strengthen the organization's overall security posture.
Respond to security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing potential impacts.
Conduct security audits and assessments, including ISO 27001 compliance and risk-based internal auditing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cybersecurity measures support product and system integrity, availability, and confidentiality.
Drive continuous improvement in cybersecurity practices and protocols, adapting to emerging threats.
Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to proactively address cybersecurity challenges.
Requirements
Minimum of 10 years of experience in information security or cybersecurity management.
Strong expertise in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) and cybersecurity policies and standards.
Proven experience with security incident response and resolution processes.
Knowledge of ISO 27001, GDPR, and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to design and implement enterprise security strategies.
Familiarity with IT security audits and risk-based internal auditing practices.
Leadership experience managing and mentoring teams.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
