Zscaler Project Manager
Location: Kansas, Bellevue, or Texas Onsite 3 days per week


Must Have Skills
Skill 1 7+ years of experience in Security Engineering, IT Operations, or Network Security with a focus on process development and documentation.
Skill 2 Strong hands-on knowledge of Zscaler technologies, including ZIA (Zscaler Internet Access), ZPA (Zscaler Private Access), ZCC (Zscaler Client Connector), and their administrative workflows.
Skill 3 Expertise in developing and maintaining process documentation, runbooks, SOPs, and policy guidance for technical and non-technical audiences.
Skill 4 Solid understanding of Zero Trust principles, MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication), role-based access models, and disaster recovery concepts.
Skill 5 Experience with version control systems like Git/GitLab and ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, Jira.
Skill 6 Proficiency in documentation platforms: Confluence, SharePoint.
Skill 7 Ability to translate complex security workflows into clear, standardized documentation and process flows.
Skill 8 Familiarity with process visualization tools like Visio, Lucidchart, or Draw.io.

Domain Experience (If any)
Security Operations, Security Engineering, Compliance in large enterprise or regulated environments.

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Security Engineering Specialist with a strong focus on process engineering, documentation, and operational excellence around Zscaler security technologies. This role will bridge security engineering with IT operations by documenting, refining, and standardizing key security workflows. You will own the development and maintenance of critical process documentation that ensures secure, repeatable, and compliant operations across our global infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for:
o
Multi Match Standards Establish criteria, logic, and policy standards.
o
Catchall Cleanup Processes Design cleanup workflows and escalation paths.
o
Departmental Lockdowns Document access control and segmentation per business unit.
o
Zscaler Client Connector (ZCC) Update Process Define rollout cadence, testing procedures, and compatibility by OS/device.
o
Access Governance for Code Repositories Document MFA, approvals, and audit requirements for GitLab and automation pipelines.
o
Security Exception Handling Standardize exception request flows and continuous improvement plans.
o
Island Browser Deployment and Usage Maintain usage standards, security controls, and configuration guidance.

Collaborate with security engineering, support, and operations teams to validate documentation accuracy and usability.

Establish version control and change management practices for security documentation.

Support training, onboarding, and cross-functional enablement by publishing centralized knowledge content.

Help align documentation with security audits, compliance reviews, and automation initiatives.
