Power Automate Developer
Summary
This role will focus on modernizing automation processes by rebuilding existing workflows from legacy RPA tools into the Microsoft Power Platform. The Power Automate Developer will design, enhance, and support automated solutions that improve efficiency, streamline operations, and align with Microsoft best practices. The position will work closely with business and technical teams to ensure smooth migration, reliable performance, and long-term maintainability of automated processes.
Responsibilities

  • Review current automation workflows to identify migration needs and create plans to transition them to Power Automate.
  • Rebuild and improve automation processes using Power Automate Cloud and Power Automate Desktop.
  • Translate logic, selectors, integrations, and data handling from legacy RPA tools into Microsoft Power Platform components.
  • Create and configure triggers, connectors, and custom actions to support workflow execution.
  • Meet with stakeholders to understand current processes and recommend automation improvements.
  • Ensure all automated solutions follow scalable design patterns and support long-term maintenance.
  • Integrate workflows with Microsoft 365 applications, Azure Services, APIs, databases, and external systems.
  • Work with structured and unstructured data from platforms including SQL, Excel, SharePoint Lists, and Dataverse.
  • Apply secure handling practices for credentials, permissions, and access controls.
  • Conduct testing at all stages including unit, regression, and full workflow validation.
  • Troubleshoot issues and enhance performance for deployed automations.
  • Provide documentation, deployment guidance, and support during stabilization periods.
  • Follow established governance standards, development guidelines, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with analysts, developers, and IT teams to support migration and adoption.
  • Share best practices and deliver training or knowledge transfer when needed.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience developing solutions in Power Automate (Cloud and desktop).
  • Understanding of broader Power Platform capabilities including Power Apps and Dataverse.
  • Experience working with UiPath or other RPA tools.
  • Proficiency with REST APIs, JSON, SQL, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365 services.
  • Ability to design reusable automation components and workflow architectures.
  • Familiarity with version control and ALM practices (Azure DevOps, Git preferred).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to convert business processes into technical workflows.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork abilities.
  • Knowledge of secure configuration practices and compliance considerations.
