Please review the following job description:

  • Develop customized coding, software integration, perform analysis, configure solutions, using tools specific to the project or the area.
  • Lead and participate in the development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support of highly complex solutions in adherence to company standards, including robust unit testing and support for subsequent release testing.
  • Build non-functional monitoring capabilities and provide escalated support for highly complex applications in production.
  • Build in and maintain security controls and monitoring in support of company standards.
  • Typically lead moderately complex projects and participate in larger, more complex initiatives.
  • Solve complex technical and operational problems. Act as a resource for teammates with less experience
  • May oversee the work of a small team.
  • In an Agile environment: Responsible for delivering high quality working software and automating manual/reusable tasks working directly, and engage with, the business from the beginning of the design work. Leverage continuous engineering practices to deliver business value regarding effectiveness of the design. Actively participate in refining user stories. Responsible for design, developing, and maintaining automated unit testing, and supporting integration and functional testing. Responsible for providing automated monitoring capabilities, providing warranty support, and providing knowledge transfer to production support. Develop code in accordance with the acceptance criteria established by the Product Owner.

Requirements
  • Must have Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IS or related technical field.
  • Must have 4 years of experience in software engineering or development positions performing/utilizing the following:
    • Development, analysis, and testing complex database/software systems.
    • Planning, analyzing and managing multiple parallel projects.
    • Providing direction and mentoring less experienced teammates.
    • Applying expert knowledge of SDLC and different software development life cycles.
    • Understanding complex requirements, estimation, articulating test cases, test plan, test case execution, and identifying bugs and managing bugs
    • Testing complex systems/software
    • Strong T-SQL database development skill and query performance tuning experience
    • Advanced ETL design and development using Microsoft SSIS tools
    • Report development using PowerBI, BI reports, and Microsoft SSRS
    • Multi-dimensional cube design and development using Microsoft SSAS
    • Data mining and/or BI data analytics
    • Utilizing experience with: SQL development and different testing techniques; Microsoft SQL Server; Version tracking systems including GIT and TFS; Visual Studio 2019 using C#; Microsoft SSIS tools; and Agile Development
  • Position may be eligible to work hybrid/remotely but is based out of and reports to Truist offices in San Diego, CA. Must be available to travel to San Diego, CA regularly for meetings and reviews with manager and project teams within 24-hours' notice.
  • The annual base salary for this position is $155,000 - 170,000.
