Job Details

Role : Electrical Test Engineer

Location : Irvine, California (Onsite)

Duration: : 12+ Months

Key skills set and experience:

  • Develop and execute test plans for electrical systems and embedded systems.
  • Perform functional, environmental, and reliability testing in accordance with aerospace standards (e.g., DO-160, MIL-STD).
  • Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure testability and product quality.
  • Analyze test data, troubleshoot failures, and recommend design or process improvements.
  • Maintain and calibrate test equipment and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Document test results and prepare technical reports for internal and customer review.
  • Support qualification and certification efforts for aerospace products.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes for aircraft electrical systems
  • Do Open Box Troubleshooting: ability to observe and test circuit boards to identify portions that are not functioning as intended
  • Write and submit Engineering Investigation Reports/FAR s
  • Develop troubleshooting tests for emerging issues with new and existing product lines
  • Access repair shop data and interpret the test findings and failure observations noted on the database and on the test data sheets.
  • Collect, organize, and interpret all component test results, failure observations. SIL (System Integration Lab) testing, engineering directed testing, and lab analysis.
  • Determine if the failure mode is a typical and may need trend monitoring.
  • Bachelor s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering or related field
