Title:
Senior Ground Systems Engineer - TS/SCI
KBR is looking for a Sr. Ground Systems Engineer to support a dynamic program in Chantilly, VA. This position requires an active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph. In this role you will provide Ground SE support to critical programs and upcoming acquisitions. This support will include the following. Develop ground architecture solutions and concepts, network and process diagrams to support the definition of a ground system. Review and evaluate contractor ground system solutions. Develop acquisition documentation for future ground system procurements. Use technical expertise in the areas of Mission Management, Command and Control, Mission Processing, Network Engineering, and Communications Engineering to provide recommendations for ground, network, and communications systems. Provide proactive support to the Government customer and tasks. Develop productive relationships with Prime/Subcontractor counterparts, functional counterparts, and other subject matter experts. Author, review, and coordinate documents and data to aid the Government in decision-making. Participate and represent the customer in various Government and contractor meetings and attend contractor programmatic and technical reviews (e.g. PMR, PDR, CDR, and other meetings) to provide technical and programmatic-based ground system recommendations and risk assessments.
Qualifications:
Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with Poly
BS in related technical discipline and ten (10) years or more experience; Masters and eight (8) years or more experience
Proficient at program/project management within the customer organization
Experience with small satellite ground systems a plus
Experience with NRO ground systems a plus
Available to travel domestically
