We are looking for candidates who plan and carry out security measures to protect an organization's computer networks and systems. Their responsibilities are continually expanding as the number of cyberattacks increases.

As an Information Security Analyst, you will protect IT infrastructure (including networks, hardware and software) from a range of criminal activity. You will monitor networks and systems, detect security threats ('events'), analyze and assess alarms, and report on threats, intrusion attempts and false alarms, either resolving them or escalating them, depending on the severity.

Your role and responsibilities:
As an Information Security Analyst, you will protect IT infrastructure (including networks, hardware and software) from a range of criminal activity. You will monitor networks and systems, detect security threats ('events'), analyze and assess alarms, and report on threats, intrusion attempts and false alarms, either resolving them or escalating them, depending on the severity.
- Monitor and respond to support tickets assigned to the GSOC
- Monitor and perform reporting on network security processes, application security measures, access controls, and corporate data safeguards in adherence with enterprise security policies and a continual evaluation of current Information security threats.
- Under direct supervision, monitors and troubleshoots various information systems security software following established policies and procedures.
- Monitor operational alerts and provide security assistance for all Nasdaq related issues
- Monitor information security related intelligence to ensure the organization is notified of critical threats affecting Nasdaq systems or personnel
- Escalate complex information security issues as necessary
We expect you to have:
- A passion for cyber security and a keen interest in IT
- An understanding of the cyber security risks associated with various technologies and ways to manage them
- A good working knowledge of various security technologies such as network and application firewalls, host intrusion prevention and anti-virus
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and assess risks, threats, patterns and trends
- Teamworking skills in order to collaborate with team members and clients
- Verbal communication skills, including presentation skills, with an ability to communicate with a range of technical and non-technical team members and other relevant individuals
- Written communication skills, for example to write technical reports
- Time-management and organizational skills to manage a variety of tasks and meet deadlines
- The ability to multi-task and priorities your workload
- Excellent attention to detail
- An ability to work under pressure, particularly when dealing with threats and at times of high demand
- Education Required: Degree qualified in Computers Science, Information Systems or other related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Special Qualifications: Is working towards any of the following Certifications and/or Professionalization status: CCIE (certified CISCO Internet Engineer), MCSE certification; GIAC Certified Windows Security Administrator (GCWN); GSEC, GCFW, GCIA, GCIH, GISO, GSNA, GCFA, GSLC; CISA, CISSP certifications; CIPP (Certified Information Privacy Professional).
