We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join our Client's team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and complex network systems to support organizational operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Cisco technologies and network protocols along with having professional data center experience. Responsibilities:
Design, configure, and maintain network systems using Cisco routers, switches, and other networking equipment.
Monitor and troubleshoot network performance issues, resolving connectivity problems effectively.
Utilize Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) to optimize routing and improve network efficiency.
Collaborate with IT teams to plan and execute network upgrades and enhancements.
Manage and deploy ARISTA and Meraki networking solutions for seamless integration.
Develop and maintain documentation for network configurations and processes.
Oversee IT projects related to network infrastructure, ensuring timely and successful completion.
Provide technical support and guidance to ensure the reliability and security of network systems.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering or a related field.
Knowledge with Cisco routers, switches, and ASA firewalls.
In-depth knowledge of Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and its implementation.
Experience with ARISTA and Meraki networking solutions.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
Proven track record of managing IT projects related to network infrastructure.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
