Work Location: DFW Airport Headquarters, 2400 Aviation Dr, Euless, TX 75261 (on site)

Work Schedule: 8 am 5 pm, Monday - Friday

Contract: 1+ years. Must be Authorized to Work in the US for Any Employer.

Pay: $54/hr W2 (plus 8 paid holidays and 15 days PTO)

Job Description:

We are seeking a Sr. Network Specialist to administer a multi-services network; provide support for PCs, LANs/WAN/Wi-Fi, hardware, software, and peripherals; and assist in the maintenance and implementation of LANs/WANs.

Required Experience (5+ years):

  • Experience providing network systems support.
  • Experience managing complex network with different technologies and vendors.
  • Experience working on network day to day operation working with end users and other IT groups.
  • Experience with Network Routing and Switching.
  • Experience with Firewall and Intrusion Detection.
  • Experience with VPN.
  • Experience applying knowledge of the principles and practices of LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi network systems design and implementation, including hardware, software, communications standards, and documentation.
  • Experience applying knowledge of the principles and practices of network management applications and platforms.
  • Experience applying knowledge of the principles and practices of Information Security.
  • Experience applying knowledge of current network communications technology.
  • Experience overseeing and coordinating the work of technical personnel.
  • Experience communicating clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, at all levels within and outside the organization, and provide technical documentation.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships inside and outside the organization.
  • Experience participating in a project management methodology.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.

Required Certification (must have at least one of the following)

  • CCNA Routing & Switching (Core competence) OR
  • CCNA Security (Core competence) OR
  • CCNA Wireless (Specialty) (preferred specialty) OR
  • CCDA Design (Specialty) OR
  • CCNP Routing & Switching

Responsibilities:

  • Provide security engineering support for the infrastructure and applications across multi-site enterprise and data center environments; including the evaluation, design, implementation and troubleshooting of security infrastructure technologies and solutions to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of Clients and customer assets.
  • Protect and secure company resources in the cloud, virtual and physical infrastructures.
  • Maintain and administer perimeter security systems such as, but not limited to: Firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto); Intrusion Detection / Prevention Systems (Cisco & Palo Alto); Web Filtering; Data Leakage Protection Systems; Anti-Spam / Anti-Malware (McAfee); Server Based and Desktop Anti-Virus Systems (McAfee); and VPN (Cisco, Palo Alto).
  • Assist in the design, install and support of security technologies such as Firewalls, VPN, Network and Host-Based IDS/IPS, SIEM, DLP, Wireless Encryption and Content Filtering.
  • Assist in design and monitoring security for routers, switches, operating systems, and other technologies.
  • Provide input in analysis of system logs to identify unauthorized user or access.
  • Design and validate rules engineering for the various access control chokepoints such as firewalls, VPN etc.
  • Provide in-depth customer support for information security incidents including internal violations, hacker attacks, virus and system outages.
  • Assist in creating validation process such as alerts or procedural flows.
  • Troubleshoot complex network problems and provide prompt resolution to them.
  • Work on Cloud firewall s upgrades and improvements.
  • Be part of the On-Call rotation.

Airport Special Requirements:

  • Must obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Airport Identification/Access Badge (badge) in accordance with Department of Homeland Security Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requirements in Chapter 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 1500 et al., and DFW Airport s Airport Security Program within thirty (30) days from date of employment and maintain qualification for a SIDA badge upon each badge renewal.
  • Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security Customs and Border Protection (CBP) security access clearance within thirty (30) days from date of employment and maintain qualification for CBP security access clearance upon each CBP security access renewal.

Ability to obtain CJIS certification in order to manage Department of Public Safety projects with sensitive data requirements
