Job description: Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement efficient manufacturing processes and workflows for new and existing products.
Support automation initiatives and integration of Industry 4.0 technologies to drive smart manufacturing and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, quality, R&D, and supply chain to ensure manufacturability and scalability of designs.
Lead and participate in kaizen events, root cause analysis (RCA), and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes.
Develop work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials to support consistent operations and operator readiness.
Analyze and optimize cell layout, material flow, and takt time to support Lean production principles.
Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) including cycle time, scrap rate, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), and yield.
Participate in capital equipment selection, installation, and validation.
Ensure processes comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, UL, OSHA).
Support cost reduction initiatives through design for manufacturability (DFM), waste elimination, and process optimization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (Master's or technical certifications a plus).
2 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably in a high-volume or complex electromechanical environment.
Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and value stream mapping.
Experience with CAD tools, ERP systems, and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
Hands-on experience with automation systems, robotics, PLCs, or similar smart manufacturing technologies is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across departments and organizational levels.
