Location: Orlando, FL (3 days onsite)
Contract: W2 only, 12-month contract with potential for extension or conversion to full time with either the client or CEI
Pay: $70.00 - $80.00/hour + optional medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match
Overview
Seeking a highly experienced Senior Atlassian Administrator to support and evolve enterprise Jira and Confluence Data Center platforms hosted in AWS, supporting over 10,000 users. The role involves managing administrative functions, automation, integrations, and user enablement within a large-scale environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage all administrative functions across Jira and Confluence Data Center, including workflows, permissions, automations, and plugins.
- Support Atlassian Cloud migration initiatives and hybrid environments.
- Provide end-user and project support, configuring Jira Projects and Confluence Spaces.
- Partner with internal teams to understand business needs and design scalable solutions.
- Design and implement workflow automations and process improvements using scripting and REST APIs.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, manage escalations, and collaborate on system maintenance and upgrades.
- Create and maintain documentation, develop user guides, and conduct end-user training sessions.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of Jira administration experience in a large-scale enterprise environment (10,000+ users).
- Deep experience administering Confluence spaces.
- Expertise in Jira workflows, JQL, and permissions.
- Experience with Atlassian Data Center (on-prem or AWS) and Cloud migration.
- Proven ability to install, upgrade, and support Atlassian plugins.
- Strong automation and process governance skills.
- Working knowledge of Python or Groovy scripting.
- Experience with REST APIs and JSON.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Customer-service driven mindset with relationship-building skills.
Preferred Skills
- Atlassian certifications (Administrator, ACP, etc.).
- Experience with Advanced Roadmaps.
- Experience with monitoring and reporting tools such as Grafana or Splunk.
- Hands-on experience with add-ons like Automation for Jira, ScriptRunner, and Bob Swift suite.
