RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is looking for a MQ Administrator (Application Support Engineer) for a contract opportunity with a client in the downtown Kansas City, MO area.
Responsibilities:
* Provide administration and support of key applications across multiple platforms
* Provide day-to-day support and monitoring of servers and applications
* Provide after-hours support if necessary
* Manage incidents according to IT policy and procedure
* Manage manufacturer application upgrade lifecycle and keep all environments on supported versions
* Collaborate cross-functionally with business users, project managers, application managers, infrastructure teams and other engineers to achieve product and team goals
* Provide recommendations for continuous improvement
REQUIREMENTS:
* Renewing and installing certificates required, ciphers ae a plus
* Proficient in administering IBM MQ Series environments and IIB/Broker/ACE environments
* Proficient in AIX and Linux environments
* Proficient in UNIX environment and shell scripting (KornShell/PowerShell)
* Proficient understanding of Network Environments
* Proficient with DevOps tools and processes
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
* Strong analytical, problem solving, and live environment troubleshooting skills
* Inquisitive, Agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
* Demonstrates dependability and commitment to projects and tasks via initiative, ownership, and availability
* Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with minimal supervision
* Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
* Ability to understand modern technology and to have a technical conversation about an issue, request, or recommendation

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
