Scope of Work

The Quality Assurance Analyst will serve as the primary liaison between the project team and stakeholders, ensuring all deliverables meet established quality standards. The role requires developing, executing, and maintaining comprehensive testing strategies for enterprise-level applications, system integration projects, and enhancements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute formal test plans to ensure delivery of high-quality software applications.

  • Participate in test planning, writing test cases/scripts, and executing tests to validate software functionality.

  • Define and track QA metrics such as defect counts, test results, and test completion status.

  • Collect and analyze process evaluation data, integrating findings to improve business processes.

  • Document defects, assist in resolution, and ensure adherence to quality standards.

  • Provide quality process and tool training to technical and business teams.

  • Serve as an internal quality consultant, advising on best practices.

  • Maintain a requirement traceability matrix and update test plans, strategies, and cases accordingly.

  • Design, develop, and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT), System Integration Testing (SIT), and Functional Testing.

  • Document and track defects using bug tracking systems and collaborate with developers for resolution.

  • Support UAT by ensuring users understand test scripts, success criteria, and test tools.

  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with requirements.

  • Identify and mitigate risks early in the development cycle.

  • Perform performance, load, and stress testing using designated tools.

  • Conduct regression testing to verify that changes do not impact existing functionality.

  • Maintain archived applications for historical reference.

  • Document test results, defects, and procedures in OpenText ALM.

  • Ensure compliance with quality best practices and OIT guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in systems development, testing, and/or business analysis.

  • Proven ability to validate software functionality against defined business processes.

  • Expertise in integration testing to ensure seamless system compatibility.

  • Skilled in manual and automated testing across functional, regression, performance, and security domains.

  • Experience reviewing and analyzing requirements, specifications, and design documents for feedback.

  • Proficiency in OpenText ALM or similar Test Management tools.

  • Strong understanding of SDLC, QA methodologies, and industry-standard testing practices.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and root cause analysis capability.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong time management and organizational abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, CAST, or CSQA.
