Position: Power Platform and Dynamics 365 Lead Developer
Duration: 06 - Months Approx.
Location: Richmond, VA - (Hybrid)
Position Summary:
- We are seeking an experienced Power Platform and Dynamics 365 Lead Developer to lead the design, development, deployment, and management of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions. The selected candidate will serve as the subject matter expert and primary technical lead for Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement applications and Power Platform tools.
- This is a hybrid role based in Richmond, VA, requiring on-site presence 3 days/week and in-person interviews only. Candidates unable to attend interviews in person will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of solutions using Dynamics 365 Customer Service, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and related Microsoft technologies.
- Create and manage Dynamics 365 environments, model-driven apps, canvas apps, and custom connectors.
- Implement security models including role-based access control across Power Platform and D365.
- Manage solution deployments (managed/unmanaged), environment variables, and reusable components.
- Integrate third-party systems and APIs using Azure Functions, custom connectors, and Power Platform tools.
- Support requirement gathering, fit-gap analysis, design, configuration, testing, and deployment phases.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide remediation guidance.
- Collaborate with VITA internal teams and customer agencies to deliver robust solutions aligned with business goals.
- Provide documentation, mockups, technical recommendations, and governance models for Power Platform usage.
- Advocate for best practices aligned with Commonwealth of Virginia IT policies and governance standards.
- Assist agency customers in identifying platform suitability and recommend optimal technology solutions.
