Position Summary:
Electrical and Automation (E & A)-MES Engineering Manager is responsible to lead E&A-MES Group supporting electrical and systems (Automation & MES) functions for the Nestle Health Science. Team is responsible for electrical infrastructure, process control systems & associated instrumentation and digital journey implementation. Engaging, supporting maintenance group through Nestle maintenance foundation principles, Calibration program & NCE-TPM ways of working for round the clock operations. In addition, Project management responsibilities include design, administering upgrades/modifications/new installations to maintain and increase operational efficiency of the process.

Key Responsibilities:
Provides leadership, development, and support to team members under the guidance of the Nestle Management and Leadership Principles. Provide Nestle compliance support for E&A, MES related activities through Nestle Maintenance Foundations, Nestle Continuous Excellence (NCE-TPM), & Nestle Quality Management System (NQMS), etc.

Maintenance & Calibration Systems:
Lead team to maintain and support existing systems and structure.
Ensuring regulatory compliance - Calibration program
Develop and maintain maintenance contracts for key computer components.
Control and support the general operation for maximum reliability and up-time.
Manage user's hardware and software work requests.
Supply technical support for existing systems. Assist with troubleshooting and maintenance projects.

Project Management:
Design, estimation, planning, and execution of electrical and automation projects for factories.
Develop and implement project descriptions, plans, timelines, resources requirements, costs and other associated project details.
Lead personnel - Engineers/Associates in project development and execution.
Implement modification and improvements associated to PLC/HMI and MES.
Site lead for Industry 4.0 Digital Factory Journey - DMO, Vibrations sensors, TrendMiner, etc.
Ensure compliance to Nestle Internal Audits

Personnel:
Ensures that adequate personnel are always available.
Makes performance evaluations and identifies development needs for staff.
Formulates training needs and ensures that all employees are sufficiently trained to perform their duties.
Provides long term development opportunities and guidance to team members for career development.

Change Control:
Ensure that guidelines and procedures are followed for software changes, including written management approval, clear change definition. Save previous code, test and validate new code to produce finish product.
Update process descriptions, P&IDs, and other documentation when a change is implemented.

Inter-departmental Communication:
Direct and advise various groups (production, engineering, maintenance, etc.) on the implementation and use of the process control and data acquisition software and hardware.
Direct and lead local IT department.

Safety and Environmental:
Perform Qualified Electrical safety training for site employees.
Follow factory safety & environmental objectives & targets.
Follow the plant safety rules, report incidents & unsafe conditions immediately.
Maintain compliance with regulations and refer to the Safety & Environmental Management System(s) on all related procedures and programs.
Understand the environmental aspects of the position and take action to reduce these environmental impacts by conserving paper, electricity, water etc. Will also recycle all appropriate materials (paper, plastic, food, etc.)

Quality:
Follow factory food safety, quality objectives & targets.
Follow Nestle Good Manufacturing Practices, report food safety and quality issues immediately.
Maintain compliance with regulations and refer to Nestle Quality Management System on all related procedures and programs.
Understand the food safety and quality aspects of the position as indicated on QMS, on the job training (OJT's) and standard operating procedures (SOP's) that apply.

Experience and Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Experience in food product industry Preferred. Experience with implementation of digital footprint with factory setting. Experience supervising other Engineering employees.

Competency with Allen Bradley PLC program logic. Able to go online and decipher logic and how it functions.
Competency with Wonderware System Platform, software or Intellution (Wonderware System Platform - IAS, FIX 7.0, iFIX, and iBatch, InSQL 2005, 2008, Microsoft SQLServer and Terminal Services)
Working knowledge of industrial electricity
Working knowledge of MES, including server network management
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Project and Excel required; SAP, AutoCAD experience is preferred.
Knowledgeable in the principles and application of statistics.
Understands principles of TPM, QMS, HACCP, and SOP's.
