Job Description:

Apex Systems is looking to hire a QA Tester for a financial client they support.

Location: Addison, TX - 3 days onsite/2 days remote

Rate: $55-$60/hr W2

12+ month contract

Our client is seeking a Quality Assurance Consultant to support the development, maintenance, and execution of a test automation framework in Core Java for PEI Claims Automation. This role is pivotal in designing technical solutions and building robust automation frameworks using BDD Cucumber and Selenium. The consultant will act as both a hands-on automation developer and a liaison for offshore automation teams, contributing to an agile team focused on claims automation across devices and software platforms. Strong communication skills are essential for engaging with cross-functional teams, including senior leadership.
Position Summary

• Key individual contributor to QA project teams.
• Ensures adherence to standard quality practices and processes.
• Conducts end-to-end testing to validate business, technical, and functional requirements.
• Designs and executes manual and automated test scripts.
• Supports data management and ensures timely delivery of testing milestones.
• Identifies and mitigates operational risks during system testing.
• Manages multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Provides executive-level status updates.
• Documents and communicates risks associated with test strategies and plans.
• Facilitates meetings and communications with stakeholders throughout the testing lifecycle.

• Experience testing backend services and system integrations
• Technical proficiency in web service testing (XML, JSON)
• Advanced SQL skills including complex queries and schema analysis

• Front-End Automation: 3+ years
• Automation Process: 3+ years
• Experience with ALM, JIRA, and Agile Central (Rally)
• Familiarity with Agile development lifecycle

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 5-7 years of hands-on experience designing automation frameworks in Core Java
• 3-5 years of experience in web application automation and custom object recognition
• Proficiency in keyword or hybrid automation frameworks
• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and BDD Cucumber
• 3+ years managing test execution using Bitbucket/GitHub
• 3+ years working in agile/scrum environments
• Experience with CI/CD automation using Jenkins and Selenium
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and adaptable
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
