IO Datasphere, Inc. has been providing project management, software development and IT staff augmentation services to our clients in the Midwest and throughout the U.S. since 1996. We are an approved vendor on contract to provide software development and IT staff augmentation services for the States of Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. We also provide these services to businesses, as well as local and county governments, in the Midwest and nationwide.
Our client is looking to hire a Telecom Systems Engineer. This role will function as a high-level technical support resource in VoIP telecommunications phone numbers, mobile device management, and dial plans.
Tasks
- Perform analysis and design for Call trees or call centers for internal communications.
- Manage the agency telecommunications data and look to improve process and procedures through redundancy or automation where appropriate.
- Utilize industry standard best practices and methodologies and provide knowledge transfer to other staff through both direct communication and formal documentation.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Ability to work independently on a diverse amount of activities
- Ability to work within a team to provide recommendations for process improvements, project planning, system implementations, and system administration
- Skilled in the prioritization of daily tasks and project tasks
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
NOTE: Local candidates preferred. Candidate MUST be a WI resident or willing to relocate to WI prior to starting the role at their own expense.. This position is currently remote within the State of Wisconsin. However, position status is subject to change. Onsite work is not likely, but candidate should be prepared to come onsite if required. Weekend coverage: Occasionally, maybe once a quarter related to VOIP reboots that we typically do on Sunday morning. On-call support may be required. On-site interview may be required for 2nd round if candidate is local.

Skills Required:
- 8+ years - Demonstrated Telecommunications provider services support and vendor management. EX providers: ATT, US Cellular, Lumen, etc.
- 5+ years - Experience in provisioning a PBX
- 8+ years - Demonstrated skills in telecommunications asset management and billing reconciliation
- 8+ years - Experience in managing Call Center software distributing and managing VoIP phone numbers
- 8+ years - Call Tracing Software experience
- 5 years - Telecommunication Infrastructure and Service Inventories experience
- 8 years - Telecommunications bill / payment/ rates systems experience
- 5 years - Telecommunications systems and services experience
- 5 years - Template and instructions development experience
- 5 years - LAN experience
- 5 years - Experience in design and configuration of ACD, VoIP, and IVR systems
- 8 years - Telecommunications experience
- 3 years - Video Conferencing experience
- 5 years - Vo/IP Networks experience
- 5 years - Wide Area Networks (WAN) experience
- 8 years - Wireless Cellular experience
- 5 years - Wireless Mobile / Data experience
- 5 years - Experience working vendors to resolve hardware and software problems
Skills Desired A plus to have:
- Experience / ability with providing High-availability system and the day to day support in a 24x7-365 environment
