Job Description
As a Senior Project Manager - Civil Engineering, you will serve as a servant leader overseeing design, planning, project delivery and other related services within the Land Development area. This role combines technical project management with business development responsibilities, requiring you to maintain and develop client relationships while leading meaningful projects that benefit the community.
You will provide strong leadership, guidance, and technical expertise to an existing Land Development Team while being responsible for project performance, including production, staffing, profitability, and quality.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide strong leadership, guidance, and technical expertise to an existing Land Development Team.
  • Develop and mentor other members of the Team to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Manage project performance including production, staffing, profitability, quality, and other key metrics.
  • Maintain and further develop client relationships throughout territory and beyond.
  • Identify business opportunities and lead the successful pursuit of Land Development design projects.
  • Directly manage projects as well as oversee other project managers on various projects.
  • Work closely with other company leaders and manage resources to successfully workshare across the company on multiple projects.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Coordinate with municipal clients and maintain strong local government relationships.
  • Participate in business development activities and proposal preparation.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment focused on continuous improvement.

Required Experience/Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field of study.
  • At least 8 years of experience with commercial, industrial and residential development.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Proven ability to lead projects and supervise technical staff.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with client interaction and development.
  • Positive attitude, self-directed yet team-oriented approach.
  • Focus on quality, integrity and success.
  • Leadership capabilities with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Recognized leadership and existing relationships with local developers.
  • Strong local municipal client connections.
  • Experience in business development and proposal writing.
  • Project management certification (PMP or similar).
  • Experience with land development regulations and permitting processes.

Education Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
