This posting is for a contract assignment and is not a full-time employment offer with Boeing. Candidates selected for roles will be employed as contract workers through a Boeing approved 3rd party for the duration of the specified project.

The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for a contract Electronic Systems Design, Analysis, and Test Engineer for current and emerging programs across the St. Louis region, including Berkeley, MO, Hazelwood, MO, St. Charles, MO, and Mascoutah, IL.

These Capability Centers support the following programs:

F-47 - the next generation fighter for the Air Force

T-7A - the next generation trainer for the Air Force

F/A-18, EA-18G, F-15, F-22 - production tactical fighter aircraft ongoing major upgrades

Several programs within the Phantom Works organization

MQ-25 - Autonomous Carrier Landing Vehicles for the Navy

Engineering Capability Centers - specialized engineering for Platform Cybersecurity, Product Security, Flight Simulation, Radar Development, and Advanced Mission Systems

Precision Engagement Systems (PES) including Direct Attack weapons (JDAM, SDB, MOP, HAAWC and associated derivatives) and Cruise Missiles (SLAM ER, Harpoon and development weapons)

Boeing Global Services including Support Equipment, Government Training Engineering, and US Air Force Programs Modification, Sustainment, and Product Support

Boeing Test and Evaluation

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate and Experienced Electronic Systems Design and Analysis Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

Understand and apply job practices, techniques, standards, principles, theories, and concepts

Develop, document and maintain electronic and electrical system requirements according to customer desires and contract requirements

Develop statement-of-work and technical performance specifications

Analyze, translate and implement requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications, showing traceability throughout the product lifecycle

Test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements

Resolve product integration issues and production anomalies

Investigate emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements and for potential application to company business need

Monitor supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements

Develop and document moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements

Design hardware, software and interface specifications

Solve problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Some programs may require domestic and/or international travel

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

A final U.S. Secret or Top-Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements may be required for these position.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

Currently reside in OR willing to relocate to the St. Louis, Missouri region

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Experience in the Aerospace Industry

Experience using good communication, analytical, and organizational skills and be able to work in a team environment

Experience within a design/build or test team

Experience creating, developing, and/or maintaining engineering processes

Experience with electronic/electrical system designs or test based on requirements

Strong knowledge of data structures, system design, and architecture

Typical Education/Experience:

Associate Level 2: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Experienced Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
