Job Description

We are seeking an experienced AWS Data Architect with strong expertise in Teradata Data Warehouse (TDW) to lead the design and implementation of scalable data solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge in ETL/data services, data governance, and security policies, with a track record of building robust and secure data architectures on the AWS platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architecture and implementation of a custom data platform for a new D2P portal.
  • Design and optimize Teradata Data Warehouse (TDW) solutions integrated with AWS cloud services.
  • Build and manage robust data services and ETL pipelines to support portal features, personalization, and analytics
  • Define and enforce data governance frameworks, including metadata, lineage, and compliance protocols.
  • Implement retention, archiving, and purge strategies to meet regulatory and performance needs.
  • Establish secure data access controls and integrate AWS-native security features (e.g., IAM, KMS, encryption).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UX, product, and engineering to align data architecture with customer experience goals.
  • Bring in best practices from relevant industries to ensure the platform is scalable, efficient, and intuitive..

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Hands on experience in data architecture, including Teradata and AWS environments.
  • Strong experience in Teradata Data Warehouse (TDW) design, implementation, and performance tuning.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL development and data integration frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of data governance, metadata management, and compliance standards.
  • Experience creating and managing retention, archive, and purge policies.
  • Strong knowledge of data access controls, encryption, and AWS security best practices.
  • Familiarity with AWS services such as Redshift, Glue, S3, Lambda, and IAM.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
