Job Title: Palantir-Data Engineer
Location: Spring, TX (On-site 5 days/week)
Job Type: Long-Term Contract
Interview Process: 60-minute Zoom video interview, followed by a potential onsite round

Role Overview:

Join a cross-functional data team working to develop tools that optimize investment and operational decision-making for a large-scale carbon capture initiative. You'll play a key role in building and maintaining high-performance, production-grade data pipelines and ontologies using the Palantir Foundry platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain robust data pipelines, connections, and ontology models in Palantir Foundry.

  • Translate existing data architecture into an ontology-based model within Foundry.

  • Develop backend logic leveraging semantic object linking to enhance data integration, analysis, and visualization.

  • Provide architectural and design recommendations to improve performance and scalability.

  • Collaborate with data strategists and stakeholders to implement tech solutions for complex business problems.

  • Perform data validation and transformation tasks within the Ontology Manager.

  • Create interface code to facilitate integration with other systems.

  • Define and manage configurations for ontology objects including permissions and dataset mappings.

  • Document data models, schemas, and API specifications.

  • Partner with architects, product owners, and developers to ensure cohesive data architecture.

  • Provide user training and support on leveraging ontology capabilities in Foundry.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or a related field-or equivalent practical experience.

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in developing data-intensive applications.

  • Hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry, especially in ontology modeling and data pipeline creation.

  • Proficiency with Python, SQL, and distributed computing frameworks like Apache Spark.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to grasp complex architectures and data models.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills; comfortable working in Agile environments.

Preferred Experience:
  • Broader experience with Palantir Foundry tools such as Workshop, Quiver, etc.

  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while delivering high-quality results.
