Overview
The position provides technical support for IBM z/VM operating system. Participates in design, development and implementation of systems engineering activities. Responsible for components of complex engineering and/or analytical tasks and activities. Serves as a seasoned/proficient technical resource; provides tech knowledge and capabilities as a team member and individual contributor.

Overview
The position provides technical support for IBM z/VM operating system. Participates in design, development and implementation of systems engineering activities. Responsible for components of complex engineering and/or analytical tasks and activities. Serves as a seasoned/proficient technical resource; provides tech knowledge and capabilities as a team member and individual contributor.
Subject matter expert with z/VM operating system support including:
- General z/VM configuration including network (TCP/IP and FTP)
- General z/VM problem determination and corrective actions
- Familiar with IBM Service Request (IBM Link)
- Ordering and Installing maintenance/RSU (Shop Z and VM/SES).
- Operating system version upgrades.
- Coding and maintaining custom systems utilities and exits (REXX and CMS Pipes).
- Building z/VM guest systems (z/OS and Linux)
- Experience installing program products from CA, Broadcom, etc.
- Performance and Tuning (Velocity Tools)
- Familiarity with VM: Secure
- Experience building and supporting Linux on Z virtual servers
- Technical writing and process mapping
- Assembler programming
