BI analysts and strategists deliver data-driven insights and interactive models to help clients make better informed investment decisions.
Bloomberg Intelligence is seeking a seasoned U.S. municipal bond strategist to join our fixed income research coverage. The position will complement our broader strategy offering across our fixed income, currency, and commodity research platform.
The strategist will be responsible for publishing research on the tax-exempt and taxable municipal markets, covering key themes and large issuers. The right candidate will be able to effectively build community with clients and internal constituencies, including working with news, index, data and products teams within the Bloomberg ecosystem. An ability to generate qualitative and quantitative research, capitalizing on Bloomberg's data and data science teams, and a willingness to collaborate with peers across fixed income, tax policy and government policy, will also be key to succeeding in the role. Candidates must be self-starters, excellent communicators, adept at data management, curation, and derivation, and have a firm understanding of the municipal debt markets as well as the Bloomberg terminal.
Requisite experience and skills:
A minimum of 7 years professional experience analyzing and / or trading the asset class
Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
Independent thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset
Ability to develop professional and collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues
Familiarity with Bloomberg data and the Bloomberg family of indices
Bachelor's Degree, with CFA designation or MBA preferred
Strong knowledge of the Bloomberg Terminal
Strong Excel and / or python programming skills would be a benefit

Salary Range = 00 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
