Job Description:
As a DevOps Engineer at [Your Company Name], you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and deployment pipelines necessary for our cloud-based applications. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and design efficient infrastructure solutions.
- Implementing and managing infrastructure as code using Terraform to provision and configure cloud resources.
- Managing containerized applications in Kubernetes clusters, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar, to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
- Writing automation scripts in Bash or Python to streamline manual tasks and enhance system efficiency.
- Monitoring system performance and reliability, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
- Ensuring security best practices are implemented across all infrastructure components.
- Participating in on-call rotation to provide support for production systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience working as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code concepts and tools, particularly Terraform.
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools, such as Kubernetes.
- Strong scripting skills in Bash and/or Python.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and related tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, etc.).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and system administration concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in relevant areas such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or similar.
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and practices.
