Front End Developer

Vaco is hiring a Front End Developer for a direct hire role at our clients office in Sharonville, OH (Northern Cincinnati).

This position is 5 days a week onsite.

HTML, WooCommerce, WordPress, PHP, Magento (CMS)

Job Summary
As the Front End Developer, you will be responsible for assisting with all organizational functions of development and design. The primary focus will be to learn the codebase, gather testing data and respond to requests from our development team.
The candidate should have a good working knowledge of multiple technology systems, such as, (HTML, WOO, Word Press, SEM Rush, PHP/SQL) and the ability to learn new technology quickly. The ability to work in a team environment and a good attitude is an absolute must.
Responsibilities:

• Assisting the IT team with all aspects of ecommerce site development and design.


• Attending and contributing to company development meetings.


• Learning the codebase and improving your coding skills.


• Writing and maintaining code, context, and metrics.


• Working on minor bug fixes and high degree of quality.


• Monitoring the technical performance of internal systems.


• Responding to requests from the development team and our internal customers.


• Testing newly developed systems and generating feedback for the rest of the IT team.


• Gathering information from internal customers about program functionality.

Requirements:

• Experience developing and maintaining PHP/SQL based back-end systems.


• Proficient in front end development languages and frameworks. (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Bootstrap)


• Knowledge of code versioning tools and project management in order to maintain code integrity.


• Experience with Magento is a plus.


• Understanding and implementation of security and data protection.


• Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly.


• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.


• Detail-oriented and proactive.


• Passion for solving problems and writing good, documented code.


• Ability to connect code to ecommerce results - daily.
