Rust Lead Engineer
Location: Tampa, FL
Rust Lead Engineer
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain high-performance services and libraries using Rust.
Collaborate with backend and data engineering teams to integrate Rust components with Python and SQL-based systems.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and mentorship.
Optimize code for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Develop and maintain internal tools, CLIs, APIs, or data pipelines as needed.
Debug complex issues across language boundaries (Rust Python SQL).
Required Qualifications
8+ years of professional experience in software development.
2+ years of hands-on experience with Rust in a production environment.
Proficiency in Python and SQL.
Solid understanding of async programming models.
Strong grasp of software engineering principles, version control, testing, and CI/CD workflows.
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments.
