Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid)
Role Overview
As a DevOps Engineer in the Infrastructure Automation team, you will help drive the transformation of hybrid private cloud platform through advanced automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices. This role is ideal for those passionate about developing and enhancing infrastructure tooling, enabling scalable and efficient deployment of next-generation applications and platforms.
As a DevOps Engineer in the Infrastructure Automation team, you will help drive the transformation of hybrid private cloud platform through advanced automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices. This role is ideal for those passionate about developing and enhancing infrastructure tooling, enabling scalable and efficient deployment of next-generation applications and platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Engineer tooling and automation capabilities to enable private cloud consumption.
- Define automation standards, frameworks, and reporting practices.
- Drive adoption of event-based automation across the organization.
- Design and implement Jenkins pipelines for infrastructure automation.
- Develop and manage Jenkins pipelines using Jenkins DSL.
- Write Ansible playbooks for orchestration and manage the existing codebase.
- Create and maintain infrastructure tooling and self-service workflows.
- Develop and maintain Go and Python libraries for infrastructure tasks.
- Enhance and expand the Terraform Enterprise platform, including:
- Developing modular, reusable infrastructure components.
- Maintaining a catalogue of reusable infrastructure services.
- Promoting Terraform best practices across teams.
Required Experience & Skills
- Strong interest in infrastructure automation and technology.
- Experience deploying Infrastructure as Code.
- Proficiency in Python and/or Go.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI, or TeamCity.
- Experience writing Ansible playbooks or working with similar IaC tools.
- Familiarity with version control systems like GitHub Enterprise.
- Understanding of IaC concepts related to configuration management and immutable infrastructure.
- Commitment to continuous learning and upskilling in emerging technologies.
Desirable Skills
- Experience deploying services on Kubernetes.
- Writing HCL code for Terraform.
- Developing Ansible modules or collections.
- Adding automated checks to CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of Kafka or Redpanda message queue technologies.
- Experience deploying immutable infrastructure.
