Workday Procurement Consultant

Location: 5 days onsite in NYC, NY - Local candidates only, no relocation and no representation (2nd interview will be in person)

MUST have Workday Procurement experience, client will drill down on this experience. They have passed on top Workday consultants with just HM and finance

Must have financial experience

Must have excellent communication skills

The role is an overlap of Technical and Functional. They need this person to be their One Stop Shop Workday person. Right now they use a Solution Partner for all their Workday needs and support. They will likely keep that partner for issues that need to be escalated or if this consultant is spread too thin. But the goal is to phase the Solutions firm out slowly to just an as-needed-basis. This person needs to be someone who can confidently tell USSA what to do.

They are a small company and just started working with Workday (Most recent version 2025 R1). Which is Cloud based version. This person should also remind them to upgrade versions. As Workday comes out with updated versions twice a year.

This is a person that needs to be very proactive. No hiding in a small company. And bring ideas and suggestions to them about how to better use Workday.

So this consultant needs to have a healthy mix of working with modules across all businesses (Finance, Human Capital and Procurement)

Procurement in particular needs a bit of help. So out of the business units, specific expertise with the Procurement modules would really be very helpful.

On the functional side, they need experience configuring modules. That will be a huge percent of this role. As well as understanding the users needs and requirements. Granting permissions and understanding the security around them. As well as reports for the business

On the technical side, handling integrations, custom development and overall maintenance of the whole Workday infrastructure is needed.
