Sr. Data Engineer
Sr. Data Engineer for Chesterfield, MO to design data repositories to enable crop protection research; automate extraction, transport transformation & preprocessing of data; facilitate code reviews, retrospectives & functional and integration testing to improve delivery quality; plan & align roadmaps, delivery dates, and integration efforts; train & mentor junior engineers. Requires Master's in Operations Research, Computer Science or closely-related field & 5 yrs experience performing data warehousing and data modeling for SQL and NoSQL databases; architecting scalable data solutions to optimize storage, retrieval & processing for cloud-based data warehousing and real-time analytics; writing code in Python, Java, and/or SQL; automating workflows & pipelines using Airflow; implementing Infrastructure as Code practices; using cloud-based platforms, including AWS, Google Cloud Platform, S3, Redshift, and/or BigQuery to store, process & analyze large-scale datasets to generate business insights; managing production cloud systems, including diagnosing & resolving performance bottlenecks, system failures, and data processing errors; using Git, Agile, and/or DevOps to optimize datasets for business analytics; building ETL pipelines for big data to support advanced analytics & machine learning applications; and using MLOps to deploy & monitor production-grade machine learning models, ensuring automated workflows, performance tracking, and scalable infrastructure. Telecommuting permitted from home office location within reasonable commuting distance of Chesterfield, MO up to 2 days per week.Salary Range: Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $142,000.00 to $155,000.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
