Who we are
About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies-from the world's largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups-use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.
About the team

The Consumer Intelligence team is part of the Payments Intelligence organization, which optimizes each of the trillion+ dollars of transactions processed by Stripe annually on behalf of our users. Consumer Intelligence is a new team, chartered with enriching our view of the hundreds of millions of consumers transacting on the Stripe network and in turn driving greater fraud prevention, payment conversion, and cost reduction. This is a 0-1 role that will bring new internal and merchant-facing solutions to market.
What you'll do

As a Product Manager on the Consumer Intelligence team, you'll be responsible for the strategic direction, scoping, designing, and building of new internal data services, machine learning (ML) systems, and merchant-facing products to protect and grow the financial ecosystem. You will think deeply about how to marry the information Stripe already has on its consumers with its broad data-base of transaction performance, third party vendors, and internal models.

Day to day you'll be working closely with a team of engineers. You'll collaborate with peers in Data Science, Design, Product Marketing, Partnerships and many others to craft the vision for our Consumer Intelligence engine and associated products.
Responsibilities
  • Develop the long-term vision and strategy for Consumer Intelligence products, prioritize accordingly, create a roadmap, execute, and drive business impact
  • Deeply understand our users' needs by spending time with internal teams, developers, partners, sales, marketing, and support, and by observing patterns/trends across their feedback, the market, and our data
  • Set the pace, prioritization and execution for the team
  • Work with a wide range of systems, processes and technologies to own and solve technical and product problems
Who you are

We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
Minimum requirements:
  • Product Management experience: 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong business acumen: You enjoy digging into the details of how Stripe and our merchants' businesses work, identifying how to make them better, and building product/technical solutions to do so
  • Customer and Partner facing experience: You're comfortable in front of customers or third-party collaborators, and have experience navigating customer conversations
  • Operational savvy: You are strong operationally, capable of designing and driving a cross-functional team and process
  • Analytical horsepower: You dig deep into the data, think from user first principles, and deliver the right results
  • Crisp communicator: High attention to detail including precise and effective communications, including with external customers/partners and internal executives
  • Results-oriented: You enjoy doing whatever it takes to execute on complex projects
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience building or contributing to ML models, and products powered by models
  • History of working in fraud, risk, or prediction-based products

Hybrid work at Stripe
Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.
