Job Details

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 7 years of experience with similar Integration projects, including physical design and construction.
  • Strong familiarity with industry standards related to outdoor enclosures, such as Telcordia GR 487.
  • Extensive experience with electrical standards, including associated cable termination techniques and DC power.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent presentation and HPT skills.
  • Must have passion for driving quality, accuracy, and proactive exception handling.
  • Strong personality with leadership skills working in a complex matrix organization.
  • Strong presence and credibility to be proven at client site and internally.
  • Extensive knowledge related to the technical aspects of NAIC processes, organization, and workflows.
  • Mastery of the skills to assist and/or create, modify, and audit documentation required for Integration Center projects (RBI, SRF, Care Package, QA Checklist).
  • Strong skillset in usage of Excel, scripting languages, server and network equipment configuration validation utilities or console access.

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range (base + uncapped commissions) for this position is 200-300k OTE. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.

World Wide Technology, Inc. has an opportunity available for a Consulting Systems Engineer (Infrastructure and Integration Specialist) to support our Global Service Provider Sales teams. The position will be located in the GHQ and NAIC area. This position will be focused on development of the design and validation of outdoor enclosure and modular data center projects to be constructed in the WWT Integration Centers, as well as HPC and traditional NAIC rack builds. Working in conjunction with Inside Sales, other Pre-Sales and Post Sales engineers, and Business Development team members, this technical Pre-Sales Engineer leverages appropriate WWT offerings and expertise to best address customer needs with a cost-effective solution and the best possible benefit to WWT.

This position will require the candidate to be adaptable to processes that are continually changing and provide input for areas that would benefit from process improvements, as well as developing personal and technical skills to master all aspects of the Infrastructure and Integration Specialist position are required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Aligns with other WWT Outside Sales team members to represent WWT's expertise for the selection and integration services related to outdoor enclosures for all assigned accounts.
  • Uses knowledge of technology, products and services to build comprehensive outdoor enclosure, modular data center, and HPC infrastructure solutions (and solution options) for the customer.
  • Works with clients and WWT Outside Sales team to obtain technical priorities, challenges, and initiatives that can be translated into WWT integration opportunities.
  • Ensures effective coordination and support between account teams and supporting post sale technical resources.
  • Responsible for assisting with the coordination, delivery, and quality of presales technology solution deliverables within the opportunity's domain, which may include items like configurations, architectural diagrams, and proposals. Specifically, assisting with Level of Efforts and RBI / SRF documentation post sales.
  • Understand best practices in installation of technologies such as inter-device cabling and power management; follow industry standards and customer specific design parameter thresholds.
  • Engage in learning opportunities for understanding the latest offerings in the outdoor enclosure and modular data center space.
  • Ability to assess power/cooling requirements based on customer's physical configuration.
  • Assists in statement of work review and development related to "Follow-The-Rack" type requirements.
  • Ensures that proposed solutions, when implemented, meet the needs and functional requirements of the customer, while meeting the highest of quality and industry standards.
  • Works closely with WWT Outside Sales to prioritize requests.
  • Interface with Integration Center PM, PE and Quality staff to facilitate the initiation of projects, resolution of in process exceptions, and verification of all quality and customer specific requirements are met prior to shipment.
  • Creatively align with GS&A and SC&E teams to deliver exceptional levels of WWT provided services.
