Title: Symitar Operations Manager
Pay information: Min-point: $79,788.80 / Mid-point: $99,736.00 / Max-point: $119,683.20
Position Status Full-time, Exempt
Reports To: VP Information Services

Purpose: The primary purpose of this position is to assist Atlanta Postal Credit Union (APCU) to live out our Mission, To help our members achieve financial success by providing exceptional products and service.
The Symitar Operations Manager is responsible for the management and oversight of automated solutions, application support, software implementation, new releases, patches, and daily operations in support of the core banking system (Symitar).

- Accountable for the daily oversight and monitoring of the core automation system (SMA s OpCon), ensuring that processes and procedures are in place for efficient operations.
- Ensures that processes and procedures are in place to capture and implement automation updates brought on by internal process or procedure changes or vendor changes.
- Responsible for managing a schedule for reviewing departmental procedures, automated workflows, and ensures that proper documentation is in place for deployment of products and product changes.
- Holds direct reports accountable for the execution of periodic testing and implementation of contingency plans to ensure availability of applications in case of system failure.
- Manages departmental efforts related to process setup, parameter definitions, file transfers and storage, scheduled and ongoing maintenance of computer operations systems, EASE maintenance needs, and resolution if failed or incomplete jobs.
- Provides oversight and management of departmental efforts toward system maintenance, validation testing, testing and coordination of Symitar releases and service pack upgrades, and automation updates.
- Ensures attentiveness to the monitoring of the Program Management Help Desk ticket queue ensuring that members on the team are promptly addressing tickets related to automation, Symitar, ARCU, Synergy, etc.
- As needed, assign team members to serve as a project coordinator and/or to serve as a liaison between vendors, IS and credit union departmental leadership.
- Contributes suggestions for training related to the Credit Union s ability to educate team members on the use and navigation of various software applications and tools.
- Collaborates with the Symitar Programing Manager regarding review of internal projects for impact to processes or procedures, system capability or systems integration related to Symitar.
- Provides for a logical, efficient, and systematic conversion of customer, product, or project related requirements into core banking system solutions including any technical, scheduling, business continuity, or cost constraints.
- Provides oversight and management to the Symitar operations team including coaching, mentoring, performance reviews, and performance development.
- As related to the position, participates in the coordination of external audits, bank exams and NCUA exams
- Maintains a high degree of objectivity, professionalism, and confidentiality in all performed activities.
- Maintains positive working relationships with all departmental leaders, internal and external stakeholders.
- Exhibits exceptional critical thinking skills and strong technical aptitude.
- Attend ongoing training as needed, including on and off-site workshops, conferences, and webinars.
- Maintains credibility and positive working relationships across all levels of employees and executives within the organization; Consistently communicates a positive message about the Credit Union programming activities.
- Effectively uses written and oral communication skills in daily correspondence and completion of tasks.
- Complies with all aspects of BSA/AML and OFAC regulations as they relate to this position.
- As required, represents the credit union and its members at external functions, events, or through community service.
- The ability to provide oversight for multiple simultaneous projects having an impact on the core banking system.
- Provides input into IS budget plans and project estimates.
- The ability to travel overnight or to other APCU locations as required; non-standard work hours may be required.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages a staff of 3 6 program analysts, automations solutions architects, and integration specialist. Also achieves objectives through indirect reporting relationships or through a matrixed management approach collaboratively interacting with internal and external partners.

REQUIRED Education and/or Experience:
- A bachelor s degree in computer science, computer information systems, information technology, computer engineering, related field or an additional 3 years of related progressive IS work experience in lieu of degree
- 5 years of solid technical background in Symitar (Jack Henry) integrations and automations
- Minimum of 2 years management or leadership oversight in Information Services
PREFFERED Education and/or Experience:
- 8 years of solid technical background in Symitar (Jack Henry) integrations and automations in a credit union including extensive knowledge automation and integration
- Agile Certification (PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent)
- IT/IS Operations Management Certification(s)
- 5 years of experience with Jack Henry/Symitar integrations, open banking platform technologies, and digital account opening technologies.
Physical Job Requirements:
Must be physically able to operate a variety of automated office machines such as calculator, computer, printer, facsimile, telephone, copier, etc. Must be able to stand, bend and stoop as needed. Must be able to lift and/or carry weights of 5 to 20 pounds.
