About the Role

We are partnering with a client who is seeking an IT Service Engineer to join their Service and Operations team. This position focuses on resolving escalated technical issues from Tier 1 support. You will work primarily in systems and network environments rather than phone support, ensuring smooth operations for end-user systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Resolve escalated tickets from Tier 1 support, focusing on complex technical issues.
  • Provide on-site and remote support for hardware, software, and network-related problems.
  • Install and upgrade equipment, operating systems, and applications.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure accurate ticket handling and timely resolution.
  • Maintain and contribute to the knowledgebase and documentation.
  • Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions.
  • Participate in IT projects and assist with implementing new technologies.
  • Train users and team members on systems and best practices.
  • Track IT assets and maintain inventory records.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 2+ years in IT support or systems/network troubleshooting.
    • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac environments.
    • Familiarity with workstation hardware and configuration.
    • Understanding of endpoint troubleshooting practices.

Preferred Experience

  • Scripting/automation tools.
  • Software deployment and patching.
  • Security/compliance tools.
  • ITSM/ITIL knowledge.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $36.00/hr.
