RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is immediately seeking an experienced Wireless Engineer in support of our enterprise telecommunications and mass media client based in Greenwood Village, CO.
Responsibilities:
* Design, configure, test, debug and document system and application programs
* The Wireless Engineer will assist in preparing technical design specifications based on functional requirements and analysis documents
* Review design documents and provide feedback
* Collaborate with other development staff to achieve quality and consistency
* Participate in architecture, design and code reviews
* Develop and maintain operational and system level documentation
* Integrate and schematically depict communication architecture, topologies, hardware and software into complete wireless network configurations
* As a Wireless Engineer, you will evaluate new products, perform wireless network problem resolution
* Develop and implement approved methods of procedure, wifi network enhancements and make recommendations for improvement
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience
* Cisco Certified Wireless network Professional (CCNP )
* Wireless industry and vendor specific training (Cisco, Ariss, Ruckus, etc.)
* 10+ years of experience
* 5+ years of wireless network experience
* Proficient data wireless networking knowledge (OSI Model, TCP/IP, etc.)
* Proficient knowledge of related wireless industry specifications and standards IEEE, ANSI, 802.11 variants, Bridging, Switching, Routing, Ethernet and Transport technologies and protocols
* Proficient knowledge in wireless network design, wireless network architecture, protocols and wireless network topology
* Proficient knowledge of basic wireless network devices and basic wireless network appliances
* Proficient knowledge of wireless network designing software, such as Visio and knowledge of Microsoft Office
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
