Job Title: IT Senior Business Analyst
Location: Quincy, MA (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 Months (Tentative)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced IT Senior Business Analyst to support a healthcare-related application initiative focused on helping individuals transition from institutional care settings to the community. This role will contribute to critical projects, including an AWS migration, and work closely with architecture and release management teams.
The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator, has a strong understanding of IT systems and business processes, and is skilled at translating technical details into clear business terms. You ll serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead business analysis activities to define and document functional and technical requirements
Work with business and IT teams to elicit, analyze, and validate user stories and system requirements
Support AWS migration efforts and cloud-based initiatives in collaboration with architects and engineers
Create process flows, use cases, BRDs, gap analyses, feasibility studies, and other project documentation
Ensure testing and QA processes align with business requirements (including ADA, functional, and vulnerability testing)
Support release and change management processes
Monitor support channels (email, tickets, voicemail) and triage user issues or requests
Facilitate stakeholder meetings and workshops to gather and clarify requirements
Apply risk assessment and mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle
Support user training and post-implementation procedures
Create visual documentation using tools like Visio or other Microsoft applications
Required Skills:
Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies and tools
Technical knowledge of application platforms (e.g., Java, .NET, Oracle, C++, Cloud)
Experience with tools such as Jira, SQL, Rational Quality Manager (RQM)
Familiarity with ADA compliance and NIST security standards
Proficient in documenting requirements across all SDLC phases
Knowledge of data handling practices for PII and PHI
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Visio, and project management tools
Experience working with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of experience in Business Analysis or IT system support roles, ideally within healthcare
3+ years of experience with IT system development projects involving business and data analysis
Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., IIBA) preferred
Experience working in healthcare or public sector/government settings is a strong plus
