Sr Agile Scrum Coach

Location: Mclean, VA ( Hybrid)

Duration: 6+ months

The resource needs the following:
  • Core agile mindset (agile coach experience) Knows how and why the agile sync points are important and valuable.
  • Experience in product management as a product owner or lead
  • More business knowledge than tech heavy
  • Clear problem solving expertise
  • Strong facilitator and communicator
  • Able to articulate how they problem solve from start to finish

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Scrum Coach to lead multiple Agile teams in delivering high-quality products. As a Senior Scrum Coach, you will be responsible for ensuring the teams embrace Agile values, principles, and practices while fostering a collaborative environment to drive continuous improvement and delivery excellence. Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and coach multiple cross-functional teams in Agile methodologies, ensuring adherence to Scrum practices.

2. Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives). 3. Remove obstacles that impede the team s progress, ensuring the timely delivery of product increments. 4. Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure a well-defined and prioritized backlog that aligns with business objectives. 5. Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging teams to regularly reflect on processes and adapt for better outcomes. 6. Act as a change agent, helping to build an Agile mindset across the organization. 7. Track and report on team performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement. 8. Build a trusting and safe environment where teams can engage in healthy discussions and problem-solving without fear. 9. Provide ongoing support to the team while coaching them to become self-organized with cross-functional skills and domain knowledge. 10. Facilitate internal and external communication, discussions, decision-making, and collaboration to ensure team alignment. 11. Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles both within and across teams, increasing the effectiveness of Scrum practices within the organization. 12. Guide development teams to higher levels of Scrum maturity by identifying strengths and areas for improvement, using tailored coaching and development techniques. 13. Manage and coordinate dependencies across teams to ensure smooth workflow and project delivery. 14. Maintain transparency by identifying and addressing risks in a timely manner to keep stakeholders informed and mitigate potential issues. 15. Mentor junior Scrum Coaches and team members on Agile best practices and tools. 16. Work closely with other Scrum Coaches, and leadership to drive organizational Agile transformation efforts
